World Health Day 2010

Each year April 7th is designated World Health Day. While this year's theme is centred around urbanization there are formidable challenges to public health in rural as well as urban areas, in both the developing and developed world. Access to social and health care systems and improving health infrastructure remains a priority in resource poor settings. The increasing cost of health care - and the related questions of who should pay and how - is a growing political issue in the developed world.
