The right to a life with dignity is the basis of all human rights. An important component of this is the right to sexual well-being - to a healthy and self-affirming sexuality free of violence, coercion, and disease.
But this human right is being violated: high numbers of the HIV+ people in India are women, with most of them having contracted the virus from their husbands or partners. Most of them are thrown out of their homes after their husbands die of AIDS.
